Photo Diary | My Own Little Narnia

Within minutes, Florence had stolen my heart. A strong grip that felt tighter than the narrow cobblestone streets and Italian heat. My trip last summer was one I'll never forget. It was full of family time, delicious food, and beautiful surroundings. I remember each little moment so intensely that with a quick flip of my eyelids I can daydream my way back. It was around noon and I found myself stumbling around the streets, completely doe-eyed and caffeinated from a generous dose of espresso. Such a rich thick flavor that paired perfectly with the feeling I got when my feet met the doorstep of a little slice of vintage heaven. A few breaths later my ears caught note of familiarity, which was refreshing to my Basic Level 1 German class brain that responded to each and every Italian with "ciao"(meaning I-don't-know-a-hint-of-your-language-sorry-I-can't-pronounce-shit-I'm-from-Pittsburgh) …. haha. So yes, Dylan's "Tangled Up in Blue" diffusing from the speakers really got my blood flowing. Well, that or the caffeine.. or maybe the simple fact that I was surrounded by stacked denim, groovy prints, big sunnies, and all the shoes I'd ever need in life. I open my closet door at home and hope this little Narnia appears on the other side.

  1. OMG I am so glad you got to experience this. I went to Florence, Rome, and Sorrento on a college trip years ago and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I wish everyone could see Italy; you're quite lucky. This store looks like a true gem.
