We All Scream For Ice Cream

Gypsy Junkies top, Free People  dress slip and hat, Vintage Levi cutoffs, Louis Vuitton bag

Gelato. The cure for any problem, heartache, and uneasiness. I have found my favorite scoop here in Firenze. Tiramisu. Creamy, thick, slightly melted, and a hint of coffee. Pure perfection. My stay in Florence has been everything I had hoped for and more. The delicious food, cultured alley ways, and beautiful people all contributed to a special stay. My hotel, the Bernini Palace, had me feeling like Marie Antoinette. Mustard painted walls, crushed velvet decor, 100% linen sheets. Just lovely. I spent the day eating gelato, shopping vintage thrift stores, and spending time with my family while switching up outfits. One shirt, two ways. I started out with my lace Free People slip under a FPxGypsy Junkies shirt and a hat in the morning. As the temperature increased I threw on some Levi cutoffs to beat the heat. I've decided I could live in this shirt forever and never get tired of it. Comfort, fit, and style all get 10/10 scores for this one. It can so easily be dressed up or down and I needed that item in my bag for a trip throughout Europe. Time to go explore a little more. I'm always on the run! Ciao babes.

Ancient Hippy

Novella Royale jumper, Vintage Louis Vuitton, Free People belts, Hot Haute Hot jewelry

Ciao! I'm currently going 242Km/h on a bullet train from Roma to Florence. The city is in my past and rolling hills continue to appear in the most breathtaking way. I couldn't even begin to explain the wanderlust feeling this country continues to give me. My first stay has been in Hotel Capo d'Africa, an upscale boutique like hotel with the best panorama views of Roma. I had Friday and Saturday to explore the bold architecture and was overwhelmed by the history. The Colosseum was massive and I felt so small next to it as I grooved around in my Novella Royale jumper. Speaking of clothes lets talk about this outfit. I love this jumper. I bought it through Free people and can't shake how much it brings my hippy vibes to this ancient ruin filled city. As far as the bag goes I have been so excited to share. This vintage Louis Vuitton was given to me a couple years ago from my mother and the leather strap eventually broke. Instead of sending it in for repair I decided to be my creative little self and call it a project. Free People always seems to be a go to for inspiration and I decided to make a stop at their Pittsburgh Store to get my creative juices going. After spotting two colorful embroidered belts in the store I pulled my debit card out and swiped. Right away, no second guesses or buyers remorse. I decided to use these two perfect belts as straps on my bag. A little stitching and leather here and there and wah-la! I've got myself a treasure. It's all about the little details, kiddos. Anyways, my train just stopped in Florence. I feel so blessed that I got to see such beautiful works of art in Rome but happy to move on to my next adventure. Florence calls for shopping….with a side of vino!

Tangled Up In Tie-Dye

Thrifty tunic, Levi denim shorts, Steve Madden sandals, Gypsy Junkies bone necklace and headpiece.

I've got a gypsy soul to blame, right? Borderline obsessed with tie-dye clothing and complete addict to Gypsy Junkies jewelry. A little box of beautiful goodies came in yesterday and I swear my jaw dropped to the ground when my eyes focused on the turquoise covered bone and leather necklace. Love at first site. I took what looked like a leather wrap bracelet and strapped that puppy to my head! Silly me. Any chance to wear a headpiece is a chance I'm willing to take. I skipped around the streets in my hippy look and felt free as a bird. Annnnnnyways today will be a busy one. Time to pack my closet into one large checked bag and a carry on. Wish me luck. It feels like Christmas Eve. I have butterflies and chill bumps because my journey to Italy starts tomorrow! I've always dreamed of going there and will be spending 9 days traveling Rome, Florence, Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, Capri, and Pompeii. I can't wait to indulge in homemade pasta and vino, capture every moment, and absorb each minute of beauty Italy has to offer. Ah, all this talk is getting me too excited to blog my adventures. Time to pack.
Ciao, babes!

Tee Gee I Eff

Photos from Pinterest

Happy Friday! I've been having a hard time getting tons of outfit posts in throughout the week because of busy schedules. Thankfully the weekend has rolled around and I get some time to relax and have fun. I will be in the city wandering around and spending time with the people I love, and Sunday I am going white water rafting.... terrified! I've been trying to take some time throughout each day to do things that make me happy. Listen to music, write, lounge a bit. I love being creative, and FP Jana from the BLDG 25 blog inspired me to start a new "journal" again. This time, it will be in a book. Frida has been giving me painting envy again and I'm hoping to incorporate all the little artsy things in my new little book. I'll post pictures soon once it gets going. Sending you off with some inspiration.. be creative this weekend!

Eyelet Havana

Free People lace crop, Free People overalls, Shoe Mint booties

Holy heat wave. Pittsburgh went from constant down pours to 93 degree weather.. but hey, I'm not complaining. My hair has had a mind of its own the past few days. Sometimes you just can't fight it, no matter how many bottles of frizz control you go through. I spent this weekend brunching with my daddy, exploring markets and enjoying afternoon cocktails with the boy while absorbing the sunshine. I can't seem to shake this overall obsession despite the temperature. Seriously though, how fun are these eyelet overalls? As soon as I spotted them at Free People Pittsburgh I knew I had to skip around town in them. They are perfect for the heat because of the thin fabric and openings. I decided to show a little skin (and hopefully build a tan) with their lacy crop under it. The perfect playdate outfit. Yesterday I wandered into Leaf & Bean in the Strip and got lost in the smoky cornered coffee/cigar shop. I'm not one to smoke cigars, but have always found the chilled crisp cigar storage rooms beautiful and interesting. This little nook in the strip had me entertained each step. The decor is rustic, the atmosphere of live music and heat seeping in through the garage door entrance had me feel like I was in Cuba on a hot summer day. Don't you love hanging out in little gems that make you feel like you are in a different world? I'm always craving travel and yesterday I felt like I checked Cuba off my list. My silly imagination. My constant wanderlust has all this travel talk is getting me excited for my trip to Italy that is soon approaching. I'm about 10 days away and already planning my packing.. so typical. Time to go beat the heat. Later babes!
